Japanese Mulberry (Kuwacha sencha) is a native plant (from the Moraceae family) in Japan’s mountainous areas. Mulberry leaves are cultivated as food for the silk worms, but they also make as great teas for humans because of its immense health properties. Ancient Japanese treated the plant as sacred because its deemed medicinal.
Known Properties: lowers blood sugar (contains DNJ 1-Deoxynojirimycin) cholesterol, and is antiinflammatory.
Gentle, smooth, herbaceous, earthy. Non caffeine.
